YUAN Hong, female, was born in 1962 at Chongqing. She is now serving as the Curator of the Library of Chongqing University of Education. In 2004, she was promoted to a professor. Now she is a third-level professor. Her major social concurrent posts include: member of the Second Committee of the Chongqing Federation of Social Science Circles, member of the Chongqing Continuing Education Association, and executive member of the Library Association of National Education Colleges.
During her 28-year teaching period, Professor Yuan has successively taught such courses as Chinese History and Culture and Tourist Guide Basis. Her teaching effect has been well received by other teachers and students. In 2004, she received the subsidy for the “Second Term of Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Backbone Teachers in Chongqing Colleges and Universities”.
While being engaged in teaching and administration, she also takes the lead in undertaking scientific research projects to promote teaching and administration through scientific research. In recent years, she has presided over and completed the following provincial and ministerial-level projects: Chongqing Natural Science Fund Project – “Research on Development Countermeasures of Professional and Technical Personnel’s Continuing Education in Chongqing”; “10th Five-Year Plan” Project of Chongqing Education Science – “Research on Countermeasures for the Teaching Staff Construction of Primary and Secondary School Teachers’ Continuing Education in Chongqing”; “10th Five-Year Plan” Key Sub-project of Chongqing Education Science – “Research on the Development Countermeasures of Continuing Education after Entry into the WTO”; Soft Science Project of Chongqing Municipal Education Commission – “Research on the Development Strategy of the Continuing Education in Chongqing”, etc. Among them, the Chongqing Natural Science Fund Project – “Research on Development Countermeasures of Professional and Technical Personnel’s Continuing Education in Chongqing” presided and completed by him won the Third Prize for the Outstanding Achievement Award in Social Science of Chongqing.
In recent years, Professor Yuan’s research mainly focuses on the continuing education field. She has published over 30 academic papers including Thoughts on the Development Strategy of Continuing Education of Chongqing under the Background of Urban-Rural Integration, Suggestions on Further Promoting the Continuing Education of Chongqing, The Analysis of Interactive Effect between Professional & Technical Personnel’s Continuing Education and Regional Economic Development of Chongqing, Reflection on Promoting Professional & Technical Personnel’s Continuing Education of Chongqing, Problems and Countermeasures on the Sustainable Development of Enterprise-University Continuing Education Cooperation, On Developing the Privileges of Running Schools and Carrying out the Adult Education, On Continuing Education System for Innovative Specialists, etc. in such journals as Continue Education Research, Continuing Education, Adult Education, Journal of Socialist Theory Guide, Probe, Journal of Southwest China Normal University, as well as Journal of Chongqing University, and lots of her papers have been reprinted in full text by Duplicated Materials of RUC.
