On 13 April, Chongqing University of Education held the Discussion Meeting of Key Authorized Projects of Education and Scientific Research of 2011. Leaders and experts from Chongqing Education Commission, Chongqing Federation of Social Science Circles and Chongqing Institute of Education Sciences attended the meeting as judges. Comrade MAO Hongsun,Vice-President of Chongqing Federation of Social Science Circles, acted as the head of the judge team.
Key authorized projects of Chongqing University of Education are key projects focusing on preponderant research fields proposed by the university. Topics of projects are generally aimed to solve the current key issues of the university or even of the area. Projects cover research directions including preschool education, elementary education, education economy and management, education technology, education reform and the modern service industry. These projects reflect on and explore in depth the development promotion of education in the university and local area; they are of great practical significance and application value. Based on careful review by experts, 10 projects were approved. Projects receiving approval include “Problems and Countermeasures of Urban and Rural Elementary School Teacher Development in Minority Regions of Southeast Chongqing” by Professor REN Yunchang, the main researcher of the “Center”; “Research on Construction and Implementation of ‘Dual Learning’ Flow Pattern of Preschool Education Major Teachers in Normal Universities” by Professor ZHANG Jiaqiong; “Research on Current Development Situation and Approaches of Teachers in Stage of Compulsory Education in Rural Areas of Chongqing” by ZHOU Bo, President of School of Continuing Education.
