Introduction of JIANG Jingfan, Professor and Doctor

JIANG Jingfan, female, born in 1972 at Luzhou, Sichuan Province, is a professor of education, a doctor and a visiting scholar to the United States. She is now serving as the director of the Teacher Education Department, and the Secretary of the CPC General Branch, Chongqing University of Education; a member of the Editorial Committee for International Education (U.S. academic journal), a member of the University Culture and Quality Education Branch, China Association of Higher Education, a member of the Youth Federation of Chongqing Overseas Chinese and a member of the Chongqing Research Society of Ideological and Political Education in Colleges and Universities.

From Sep. 1991 to Jul. 1995, she majored in Political History at the Department of History, Chongqing Normal University, and obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree; from Sep. 1999 to Jul. 2002, she majored in Educational Administration at the School of Education Sciences, Southwest China Normal University, and obtained a Master of Education degree; from Sep. 2005 to Jul. 2010, she majored in Educational Principle at the Center for Studies of Education and Psychology of Ethnic Minorities in Southwest China, Southwest University, and obtained a PhD in Education; from Mar. 2009 to Mar. 2010, she studied Educational Culturology at the School of Humanities, Health and Education, Tennessee State University, as a visiting scholar.

In recent years, her research purport has been focusing on such fields as general education, traditional ethics & morality education and educational sociology. She presided over 4 provincial or ministerial-level teaching reform and scientific research projects, researched 9 national, provincial or ministerial-level teaching reform and scientific research projects as the leading researcher, and directed 1 college-level teaching team. So far, she has published 1 monograph, edited 1 collection of papers as the deputy editor-in-chief, and published more than 40 academic papers, including 15 discipline-level papers, CSSCI papers and papers in Chinese core journals. She won the Second Prize for Teaching Reform Achievements of Chongqing Higher Education once and the First Prize for College Teaching Achievements once. Her paper once received the Second Prize of the Seminar for Ideological & Political Education through Network in National Universities and Colleges. Besides, she once won the title of “Outstanding Communist Party Member” of the Chongqing Education System, the Second Prize at the Teaching Competition of Ideological & Political Theory Course in Chongqing Universities and Colleges, the First and Second Prizes at the Young Teacher Speech Contest of Chongqing, the Best Debater Award at the Professional Ethics Debate Competition of Young Teachers in Chongqing Universities and Colleges, etc.
