In the afternoon of 30 March, our university held a cooperation development seminar with affiliated schools BashuExperimentalSchoolandChayuanXinchengMiddle School. 26 attendees attended the meeting, including CHEN Yongyue, Vice-President of our university, GUO Xiaona, headmaster ofBashuExperimentalSchool, YANG Xuhong, headmaster ofChayuanXinchengMiddle School, heads of departments relating to normal majors, the deputy director of Academic Affairs Office and core teachers of subjects of affiliated schools.
In the seminar, a heated discussion was conducted on relevant issues such as cooperation ways and quality of cooperation school running. Vice-President CHEN Yongyue spoke first. She said that our university signed the affiliated school cooperation agreement with BashuExperimentalSchoolandChayuanXinchengMiddle Schoolfor two purposes. First, strengthen the cooperation with local middle and primary schools; second, discuss with the front line of elementary education to solve possible problems arising from the curriculum reform of elementary education. Chongqing University of Education laid a solid foundation for teacher training, pre-job training, post-job training, etc. The university had advantages in elementary education concept and education method reform. She advised that the cooperation between the university and the two affiliated schools can be conducted in the following ways: The university can provide resources for teacher training in affiliated schools by means of school-based training; affiliated schools should act as the practice base of our university, so as to enhance the practical ability of our students of normal major; affiliated schools should act as our scientific research base and organize research teams, so as to discuss the problems in front of curriculum reform of elementary education; our university provides consultations and assistance for development planning of affiliated schools.
Headmasters GUO Xiaona and YANG Xuhong also gave a respective speech. They mentioned the current situation of their respective school and expressed the common expectation of affiliated schools, i.e., to become the affiliated schools of Chongqing University of Education to get the opportunities and platforms to enhance brands and receive better intellectual support and expert resource. The two headmasters said they are willing to provide relevant services for Chongqing University of Education as its affiliated schools, create favorable conditions for interns, and offer practice environment for education reform projects, so as to achieve the cooperation purposes and realize the win-win situation of Chongqing University of Education and affiliated schools.
Department heads and core teachers of affiliated schools who attended the meeting also spoke actively and expressed their own opinions and advice. Then, department heads and teachers of relevant subjects from affiliated schools discussed in groups to further investigate the specific content and method of cooperation.
