WAN Mingchun, male, Han nationality, was born in 1955 and started his career in 1972. He received a Bachelor’s degree and is a member of the CPC, second-level professor, tutor for doctoral students, expert enjoying special government allowance from the State Council and academic technology leader of Chongqing. He is now serving as a member of the Party Committee and the Vice Dean of Chongqing University of Education.
Professor Wan has successively held the posts of the Head of the Teaching and Research Section of Chongqing Normal University, the director of the Institute of Education Science, the director of the Higher Education Research Office and the editor-in-chief of Teacher Education Research; director of the Policy and Regulation Division of the Chongqing Education Committee; director and president of the Chongqing Institute of Education Science. He holds concurrent posts as the executive member of the Chinese Society of Education; the evaluation expert for National Education Science Planning; the adjunct educational inspector of the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government; the director of the Chongqing Education Science Planning Office, the Standing Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Chongqing Education Society, as well as the editor-in-chief of Education Today.
Professor Wan successively won such titles as the “Teaching and Educating” Advanced Worker in Sichuan Colleges and Universities, the “Outstanding Education Worker of Chongqing”, and the “Advanced Worker of Chongqing”. He presided over and researched over 10 major projects at national and provincial levels as the leading researcher, published over 10 monographs, and published dozens of papers in such journals as Educational Research and Curriculum, Teaching Material and Method. Moreover, his scientific achievements won 11 awards of the Ministry of Education and the provincial government.
