1. University Introduction

Chongqing University of Education was founded in 1954. The university is a full-time public undergraduate normal university focusing on education, coordinated development of multiple disciplines, and distinctive features of serving the growth of children aged 0-12 years and collaborative innovation of teacher education. The university covers an area of 1,039,400 square meters, with a building area of 447,400 square meters. As of September 30, 2024, the university has a total of 12 secondary colleges with over 15000 undergraduate students and 45 undergraduate majors involving education, literature, science, engineering, management, economics, art, medicine, law and other disciplines. The university attaches great importance to the internationalization construction of the teaching staff, and by now it has successively introduced high-level talents such as the Russian academician team, the academicians of East China Normal University, and the academicians and teams of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology.

Chongqing University of Education is located in Chongqing, the largest municipality with the largest population in China. The water, land and air transportation is very convenient, which can directly reach Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Xi'an and other major cities in China. The university has two campuses, Nanshan and Xuefu Avenue, both located in Nan'an District of Chongqing, adjacent to Monument to the people's Liberation, the core landmark of Chongqing.

Chongqing University of Education adheres to open education and strives to develop an international education platform. The university has introduced international high-quality educational resources and carried out exchanges and cooperation with the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, South Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions of China. At present, the university has set up undergraduate degree programs and Chinese language programs for international students. The undergraduate degree programs include Sports Rehabilitation, Business English (Cross border Trade Direction), Chinese Language and Literature, Tourism Management, etc. The university is dedicated to providing high-quality educational resources, all-round services and a warm environment for every foreign student who comes to the university to study.

2. Program Introduction

The undergraduate program will take four academic years and the learning method is full-time. After the international students complete the credits, complete the undergraduate thesis, pass the graduation thesis defense, and meet the relevant requirements and conditions of the university for awarding bachelor's degrees to international students, they will be issued with a graduation certificate and a degree certificate.

3. Admission Requirements

3.1 International students with high school diploma or above and over 18 years old;

3.2 Non-Chinese citizens holding foreign passports. Good health, good conduct, abide by the laws and regulations of China and the rules and regulations of Chongqing University of Education, abide by social morality and respect local customs;

3.3 HSK4.

Note: Students whose Chinese level has not reached HSK4 can study Chinese in our university for one year, and they can enter the undergraduate stage only after their Chinese level meets the requirements.

4. Application Methods and Documents

The following documents are required to apply for the program:

4.1 Application Form for International Students of Chongqing University of Education；

4.2 A copy of the highest academic certificate and a notarized English or Chinese translation. Students who have not yet obtained the graduation certificate must submit the expected graduation certificate issued by the school；

4.3 Photocopy of the front page of the passport valid for one year (the applicant living in China also needs to provide a visa page or residence permit page)；

4.4 Photocopy of the Physical Examination Form for Foreigners. The form should be filled in English. Applicants should be examined in strict accordance with the requirements of the Photocopy of the Physical Examination Form for Foreigners. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. The validity period of the examination results shall be 6 months；

4.5 No criminal record certificate. The English version of no criminal record certificate should be issued by the competent authority of one's own country one's own country (within the last six months). For students who have been in China, the Chinese version of no criminal record certificate must also be provided, it should be issued by the local police station (within the last six months)；

4.6 Family financial guarantee certificate (the bank deposit certificate or parents' income certificate shall not be less than 15,000 yuan within the last six months)；

4.7 Photocopy of language certificate with HSK4；

4.8 Self statement and study plan (at least 500 words)；

4.9 For the students who have already studied in China, the previous school shall issue the transcript, school performance certificate and attendance certificate during their study period；

4.10 Two letters of recommendation (recommended by school leaders, teachers or experts in relevant fields).

Note: Once admitted, all original application materials shall be brought with you for review when you register for admission.

5 Assessment

For the students who have passed the document examination, the college will inform them about the interview and payment of application fee by e-mail. The video interview or on-site interview method are adopted to focus on students' core traits in multiple dimensions, such as language abilities (listening, speaking, reading and writing), their ability to apply knowledge, level of innovative thinking, personal moral qualities, as well as cross-cultural adaptability and psychological adjustment ability.

6. Fees

6.1 Application fee: 300 yuan;

6.2. Tuition: 12,000 yuan/year;

6.3. Accommodation fee: two-bed room, 3,000 yuan/person/year; four-bed room, 1,500 yuan/person/year.

7. Scholarship

7.1 Chongqing Municipal Government Mayor Scholarship for International Students

7.2. Chongqing University of Education President Scholarship for International Students

Subsidy amount: first-class scholarship 12,000 yuan/year; second-class scholarship 6,000 yuan/year. For detailed introduction and application process, please refer to the Chongqing University of Education President Scholarship for International Students Application Guide.

Note: Each student can only apply for one of the scholarships, and must participate in the annual review every year. After passing the annual review, they can continue to obtain the scholarship for the next academic year.

8. Application Time

8.1 Scholarship Applicant: From the date of publication to April 15, 2025.

8.2 Self - funded Applicant: From the date of publication to April 30, 2025.
