Exhibition Economy and Management Program

The Exhibition Economy and Management Program was set up in 2013. After years of development, it ranks 17th nationwide among the same programs.The program is enrolled in a major category ofTourism Management. At the end of the first year, the students in the program will choose to study the courses from either Exhibition Economy and Management,Hotel Management, or Tourism Managementafter the first year of study according to their interests and scores.

The program has a strong faculty team. Among them, some faculty members have overseas learning experiences, some have industry qualifications such as planner certificate and exhibition manager certificate,some of them have won the titles of excellent teachers at national, city, or school levels.

The School has established for the program a collaborative education platform that integrates government, industry, education, research, and application. It has implemented "four stages of gradual development" talent training mode with the characteristics of "integration of industry and education" and "project-driven teaching".The resources of the program include advanced exhibition information management software, smart exhibition training rooms, and tourism management training centers. To provide students with more off-campus resources, the School has cooperated with Chongqing Yuelai International Expo Center, Chongqing Nanping International Convention, and Exhibition Center, and other enterprises and institutions.

The program has won the title of "Advanced School of Exhibition Education" in Chongqing for six consecutive years. More than 60% of the students have participated in national, provincial, ministerial, and city-level exhibition technology competitions or innovation and entrepreneurship competitions such as National Exhibition Elite Challenge Competition, Chongqing Exhibition Skills Competition, Chongqing Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Competition, and over 300 students won first and second prizes in these competitions.

After completing this program, students are expected to master modern exhibition economy and management theory systematically with humanistic quality, international vision, service awareness, and innovative spirit, and specialize in management, marketing, planning, communication, risk control,and exhibition design in exhibitions and special events. Graduates may engage in event planning and operation, marketing, copywriting, and display design in exhibition centers, museums, convention and exhibition companies, public relations companies, cultural communication companies, commercial complexes, hotels, and conference centers, tourism companies, and large enterprises and institutions, and they are expected to grow into the business backbone in 3-5 years.
