Logistics Management Program

Today's logistics industry is an organic integration of science and technology and the traditional logistics industry. It is a professional, standardized, and intelligent comprehensive system integrating the latest science and technology, and management. In recent years, technology giants such as Tencent and Alibaba have staged beach grabbing dramas and have invested heavily in logistics, and the logistics department of Jingdong has become its winning magic weapon.

To meet the demand for high-end logistics talents, the CQUE began to set up the program of Logistics Management in 2005. Since then, the program has trained a large number of professionals for the development of the logistics industry. Over the years, more than 2000 students graduated from this program. Among the graduates, many of them have grown into the management backbones of Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Post, Midea, Jingdong, Suning, Debang, Baishi, Xiaomi, and other companies.

The program of Logistics Management boasts a strong faculty with a group of them rated by the CMEC as a city-level teaching team. The faculty have set up city-level quality courses such asInternational Logistics and Freight Forwarding. Their research results have been awarded many times by the Chongqing municipality and national ministries and commissions, including the Business Development Research Achievement Award of the Ministry of Commerce, Chongqing Award for Scientific and Technological Advancement, Development Research Award of Chongqing Municipal People's Government, etc.

Talent training characteristics of the program:

1. The program integrates education with the demand of the logistics industry and coordinates education, research, and production. The School has signed strategic cooperation agreements with many well-known enterprises such as Bank of China, Chow Tai Fook Jewelry, and Jingdong, providing students with a large number of internship and work opportunities every year.

2. The program pays attention to the organic integration of logistics and information technology such as big data, artificial intelligence, and blockchain, and strives to create a comprehensive talent training characteristic of "modern logistics + big data analysis".

Taxation Program

Based on the talent training idea of the integration of finance, accounting, and taxation, the program adheres to serving the local economic development and focuses on creating a path for training talents of tax accounting and administration.

The Taxation Program offered by CQUE has three distinctive features:

Developing students' abilities in an interdisciplinary way.This program requires students to have a wide range of knowledge and a solid foundation, pays attention to students' practice and ability, and adheres to the philosophy of training students in an interdisciplinary way.

“Integrating lessons and competitions, improving student abilities through competitions”.The faculty members guide students to participate in various professional competitions to improve students' professional abilities. After completing the courses of this program, students can sit for exams to get Tax Agent Certificate, Certified Public Accountant Certificate, Junior Accountant Certificate, and other related certificates.

School-enterprise cooperation education and practical education.Supported by teaching and training platforms such as Comprehensive Training Platform of Economic Management Simulation Business World and Comprehensive Financial Training Platform and practical teaching bases jointly established with enterprises, this program provides good resources for students to carry out tax project practice. After graduation, students will have strong social adaptability and the ability to solve problems.

Graduates of the Taxation Program are high-quality applied talents who can engage in tax inspection, tax planning, tax legal system, tax accounting, tax agency, tax consultation, etc. at financial and tax service institutions, government tax management departments, and financial departments of enterprises and institutions.

Economics and Finance Program

The program of Economics and Finance aims to help students become outstanding professionals who master both solid modern economic theory and financial industry knowledge, and good mathematical logic and business analysis skills, and who not only have the international vision and cross-cultural communication ability but also deeply understand China's national conditions to take root in China's financial industry. Graduates of this program can engage in finance products marketing, financial settlement, financial analysis, and other relevant work in banks, securities companies, insurance companies, trust, leasing, futures, funds, financial consulting, financial technology, and other financial institutions, government economic and financial management departments, as well as financial departments of enterprises and institutions. It is expected that five years after graduation, they will grow into excellent financial product managers, financial customer managers, financial accountants, financial analysts, and financial risk managers.

Chongqing University of Education is in the first batch of colleges and universities in Chongqing to set up the program of Economics and Finance. The director of the program is the first faculty member at the CQUE selected as a member of the Higher Education Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education. The teaching team of Applied Economics Discipline which this program belongs to is one of the first teams at CQUE to be funded both by the National Social Science Fund and MOE Humanities and Social Sciences Research Fund at the same time. The program has transformed into an interdisciplinary program of financial business + data analysis with financial technology guidance. In the Shanghai Ranking University Rankings by Program, this program ranked among the top 40% in China.

Main courses of Economics and Finance

Supply Chain Management Program

The supply chain is a network chain structure composed of suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and end-users. Supply chain management is the coordination and integrated management of supply chain logistics, information flow, and capital flow, to maximize the overall profit of the supply chain. So far, there are 39 colleges and universities offering Supply Chain Management programs in China and the CQUE is among the first batch of colleges and universities offering this program in Southwest China. In 2020, the Supply Chain Management program offered by the CQUE started to enroll students.

The program has its distinctive development path, which is to introduce new technologies such as big data, blockchain, and artificial intelligence into the courses, and help students become professionals in supply chain management. To strengthen students' professional competence and broaden students' employment channels, the program emphasizes the combination of theory and practice, and has established a practical teaching base with well-known enterprises such as Jingdong, Yuantong, and Bank of China, and has established an enterprise-oriented joint training mechanism.

Graduates of the program mainly work at Internet enterprises, FMCG enterprises, computer software and hardware enterprises, production enterprises, financial enterprises, etc. Graduates may also work at government departments or choose to apply for graduate schools.

E-Commerce Program

CQUE set up the E-Commerce Program in 2000 as one of the first universities to have this program in China. Based in Chongqing, serving Southwest China and facing the whole country, this program aims to enable students to develop in an all-round way with humanistic and social science attainments, to master the knowledge of modern economics and management with good mathematical logic and data analysis ability, e-commerce operation and management ability and innovation and entrepreneurship, to meet the needs of local economic development. Graduates of the program may engage in work related to e-commerce operation and management, e-commerce data analysis, and visual design on major e-commerce platforms and enterprises.

The main courses of the program: Management, Economics, Introduction to E-commerce, Network Marketing, Community Marketing, Visual Design, Web Page Design and Production, Online Store Operation and Management, E-commerce Data Analysis, Cross-border E-commerce, Etc.

The feathers of the training mode:the program is practice-oriented and ability-oriented, adheres to the university-enterprise joint education mechanism, invites mentors from the enterprises, continues to promote the production-education-research cooperation, and school-to-government exchanges, and collaborative development.

Graduates of the program are expected to engage in e-commerce operation, art engineering, whole network marketing, and other related work on the e-commerce platforms, or start their own business in cross-border e-commerce, medical e-commerce, rural e-commerce, childcare e-commerce, community e-commerce, Internet finance, and other industries.

Business Economics Program

Business Economics is a special program under the category of the Economics Discipline in theCatalogue of Undergraduate Programs of General Institutes of Higher Education (2012) issued by the Ministry of Education. CQUE is the first university to set up this program in Southwest China. It started to enroll students in September 2015. In 2021, the program was selected to be built as a city-level first-class bachelor's degree program. This program was built and developed based on Industrial and Commercial Enterprise Management, Business Management, and other programs with years of education history and experience, combined with the needs of regional economic and social development. The discipline of Applied Economics to which the program belongs has been selected in the 13th Five Year Plan of the CQUE to be built as a key discipline at the university level. The program has two university-level scientific research collaborative innovation platforms and several university-level research institutes such as the Institute of Financial Economics and the Institute of Enterprise Economics. Over the years, the program has made successful attempts and explorations in education and teaching philosophy, talent training scheme, practical teaching system, and whole-course monitoring and assuring, and has achieved noticeable achievements. The program helps students become outstanding professionals in business economics who meet the needs of economic and social development and use data analysis as the core ability to drive business operation and management decision-making. It ranked first in the Rankings of Bachelor's Degree Program in China jointly launched by China Education Quality Evaluation Center and China Science and Education Evaluation Network and ranked first in2017 and2018.In 2021, ithasranked the top 25% among the same programs offered by Chinese universities in the Shanghai Ranking University Rankings by Program.

In 2018, the program of Business Economics was selected into the China-UK High-Level Applied University Construction Project of the MOE National Center for Schooling Development. With the approval of CMEC, it started to enroll students in September 2018 and jointly offer the program with the University of Central Lancashire which has over 200 years of history. In 2021, the program is open to international students.
